Golden Hour in a Port Stephens Paradise
As a Port Stephens photographer, I have the privilege of capturing beautiful moments for families like the Rinkin Family. Living in the Port Stephens area provides diverse locations that make for stunning photography sessions. Whether it's the beach, the bush, or even a vibrant cityscape, there is no shortage of picturesque settings to choose from.
When it comes to family photography, the beach often serves as a beautiful backdrop. The sandy shores and crashing waves create a timeless and serene atmosphere, perfect for capturing the love and joy shared within a family. However, I also have a soft spot for the rural and bush settings that offer a different aesthetic. These locations provide a rustic charm and a connection to nature that can result in truly unique and memorable photographs.
The Rinkin Family, in particular, wanted something a little bit different for their family photos. They opted for a beautiful field location surrounded by nature's tranquillity. The urban field and open space offered a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere for their session. It was a refreshing departure from the usual beach scenery, allowing the family to interact and connect in a different environment.
I had the pleasure of meeting Katie, the mother of the Rinkin Family, many years ago while working together at an Ophthalmology practice. Our shared sense of sarcastic humour and love for cupcakes instantly connected us. Over time, Katie has achieved a lot, including the birth of her cheerful little boy, Reuben, and becoming the owner of an incredible dress rental business in Newcastle called The Hire Collective.
Like many busy mothers and entrepreneurs, Katie lacked nice photos of her and her family. She wanted to capture those precious moments and create lasting memories. So, we embarked on our photography adventure, venturing through some potentially snake-infested areas to find the perfect spot. We laughed at Reuben's adorable facial expressions throughout the afternoon and shared joyful moments as I documented their interactions.
Reuben was a little champion, brimming with energy and contagious smiles. It was a delight to photograph their family dynamics and freeze those cherished moments. As a family photographer, there is nothing more rewarding than capturing the love, joy, and connections within a family and providing them with photographs they can treasure for a lifetime.
