The Calbert Family - Redhead Beach Family Photography

One of the best things about working in the photography industry is the opportunity to meet new people and collaborate together. Recently, I had the pleasure of teaming up with the wonderful ladies at Indie Mane Salon for a styled shoot, and the connection was so strong that we decided to join forces again for a special Mother's Day treat. The day promised an incredible afternoon of pampering, bubbles, hair and makeup, followed by a heartwarming family photography session on location.

Jules, a radiant and amazing woman, was among the fortunate few we had the privilege to pamper and capture, along with her beautiful family. I was lucky enough to meet Jules at the same styled shoot, as she was the incredible stylist from Vintage Peacock Weddings and Events. After her indulgent session at Indie Mane, I eagerly awaited the magical moment of meeting Jules and her loved ones at sunset along the picturesque Redhead Beach for her Newcastle photography session.

Everything about this afternoon was nothing short of perfect. Not only did Jules look stunning, but the sunset that appeared was a mesmerising spectacle, similar to layers of cotton candy and a warm, comforting hug. In the world of photography, such a sunset is nothing less than a perfect combination of natural elements and lighting.

Our time together on Redhead Beach was filled with lots of laughter, smiles and genuine connections. We spent our afternoon chasing waves, artfully dodging seaweed, and delving into the world of our favourite children's shows like Bluey and the Wiggles. To my surprise, I discovered that I wasn't nearly as caught up on Bluey episodes as I thought after some engaging conversations with Jules's kids.

When working with children, my philosophy is to let them lead the way. If they're not inclined to sit still for the camera, no problem – I'm more than happy to run alongside them and let them have fun. The result? Authentic and candid moments frozen in time, capturing the pure essence of childhood and the joy of being a family.

Spending the afternoon with Jules and her wonderful family was an absolute pleasure. It was heartwarming to watch them interact, laugh, and have fun with each other. As a family photographer, one of the greatest perks is being able to capture these genuine smiles and moments that showcase the love and connection within families.

In conclusion, this session at Redhead Beach with Jules and her family was a beautiful reminder of the power of genuine connections and the magic of capturing real, unscripted moments. It was a day filled with pampering, playfulness, and cherished memories, and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to be part of it.
