Nicole & Tyler - Shoal Bay Country Club Wedding

“The photos are OUTSTANDING! So beautiful! We can’t thank you enough for how amazing you were, and we will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.”
— Nicole & Tyler

Nicole and Tyler's Shoal Bay Country Club Wedding at Whitesands was one I will never forget. An absolute dream couple, with an incredible team of vendors, and a fantastic venue. Even the weather cooperated, with dramatic cloudy skies and the rain holding off until after our photos.

We started the day with Groom prep with Tyler and his best mates at an apartment in Shoal Bay. Tyler had given his groomsmen personalised scotch glasses as gifts, and they had cracked a fancy bottle to start the celebrations. We spent some time on the balcony looking over the water and taking photos before heading to bride prep.

Nicole and her bride tribe got ready at the stunning Salt at Shoal Bay. Salt is one of my absolute favourite venues, especially for prep photos, as it has abundant natural light and has been styled to perfection. Everything from the lightbulbs to the tea towels has been carefully curated and designed, making it a photographer's dream location. We took some brilliant shots of the girls getting ready and a few family photos before heading to their wedding ceremony at Barry Park at Fingal Bay.

Bridal party at Salt Shoal Bay, Port Stephens

With the weather being a bit unpredictable, Nicole and Tyler weren't sure if they could go ahead with an outdoor ceremony. But we crossed our fingers and toes and pushed forward, which paid off. Barry Park at Fingal Bay is a stunning wedding ceremony location in Port Stephens that overlooks the ocean and bushland. It is also a special place for Nicole and Tyler, who have been holidaying together there for many years.

Nicole and Tyler's ceremony was officiated by the beautiful Sarah Chippindale, who perfectly captured their vibe and told their story so well. Howard Shearman (the legend behind the guitar) serenaded the guests before the ceremony and during the signing. After the ceremony, we took some family photos before heading off for the bridal party photos and couple portraits. We got some incredible portrait shots along the rocky coastline near Barry Park and some very entertaining shots of the bridal party involving champagne.

Their wedding reception was held at Whitesands at Shoal Bay, which is owned by Shoal Bay Country Club. It is a gorgeous custom-built venue that overlooks the water and is an excellent choice for a Port Stephens wedding venue. Alex from Wild Rose Events was the planner extraordinaire for the day, and she ensured that everything ran smoothly and the venue was styled to perfection. Nicole and Tyler wanted to spend as much time with their guests as possible, so they waited for them to arrive at the reception before pouring their champagne tower for everyone to enjoy.

After dinner, we followed up with speeches before Nicole and Tyler had their first dance. Howard performed again at their reception, and once the dance floor opened up, he made sure everyone wanted to be up and out of their seats. Even Nicole's Grandmother was dancing and grooving, and at one point, she had a circle of people dancing around her.

Nicole and Tyler's wedding day was filled with laughter, dancing and amazing people. I'm so grateful to have worked with such a genuinely awesome couple. Thanks for having me, Mr and Mrs Gallagher.
